  • How Do I Install My WinCleaner

    If your WinCleaner Software was purchased as a boxed product from a retail store, follow the instructions found on the instruction sheet in the box.

    If your WinCleaner Software was purchased on a USB Key, please follow the instructions that are on the printed material inside the plastic packaging that the Key was stored in.

    If you purchased your product directly on-line from our website, you will be sent a link to download your software. Once your download has completed, double-click the downloaded file. By default, this file is located in your Downloads folder. Please check your web browser preferences to confirm the location of downloaded files.

  • How Do I Activate My WinCleaner?

    To activate your product, make sure your PC is connected to the Internet, then run WinCleaner by double clicking its icon on the Windows Desktop. On the Activation screen, fill in the required information. If the Activation fails, one of the following may be the causes: 1. The wrong Serial Key is being entered. If you purchased a Retail Boxed product, the Serial Key is on the instruction sheet in the box. If you have a USB Key, the Serial Key will be on the inside of the instruction sheet in the plastic shell. 2. The Serial Key characters are not being read correctly. Some letters and numbers look alike and can cause problems. For example: the letter B and the number 8, the letter K and the letter X or the letter V and the letter Y. Please double check the Serial Key to make sure there are no spaces between the characters and they are typed in exactly. 3. The computer is not connected to the Internet. An Internet connection is required for the Activation. Make sure your computer is connected to the Internet before you try to activate your software. 4. My computer has Internet connection and is connected to the Internet. If your computer is connected to the internet, downloading and installing the latest WinCleaner OneClick update may solve the issue. To download, click the Re-download Software option on the left. 5. The Activation is being blocked by AntiVirus software. Although rare, some AntiVirus and Microsoft Essentials may block the Activation.     If you see 'Activation Limit Reached' error when trying to activate WinCleaner, the allowed activations for your product have been used up. Please Contact Customer Support to have your activation limit extended. Some conditions may apply.

How do I install my WinCleaner product?

Does WinCleaner Remove Viruses and Malware?

WinCleaner OneClick is designed to help maintain your PC - it will clean up unneeded junk files and Internet clutter and also help speed up the PC. But, WinCleaner OneClick is not an anti-virus or anti-malware software and will not be able to fix any issues caused by malware and virus infections. For this, you will need to use one of the numerous programs that are specially designed for this purpose.

Why doesn't my WinCleaner product activate?

There are a few possible causes for this problem:

1. The wrong Serial Key is being entered.

If you purchased a Retail Boxed product, your Serial Key is on the instruction sheet in the box. If you purchased a USB Key product, the Serial Key will be on the inside of the packaging card material in the plastic shell.

2. The Serial Key characters are not being read correctly.

Some letters and numbers look alike and can cause problems. For example: the letter B and the number 8, the letter K and the letter X or the letter V and the letter Y. Please double check your Serial Key entry to make sure that there are no spaces between any of the characters and all letters, numbers and hyphens are typed in exactly as shown.

3. The computer is not connected to the Internet.

An Internet connection is required for the Activation process to complete successfully. Make sure your computer is connected to the Internet before you try to activate your software.

4. My computer has Internet connection and is connected to the Internet.

If your computer is connected to the internet, downloading and installing the latest WinCleaner OneClick update may solve the issue. To download the latest WinCleaner OneClick, please click the Re-download Software option on the left.

5. The Activation is being blocked by AntiVirus software.

Although very rare, some AntiVirus and Microsoft Essentials may block the Activation. Please turn off AntiVirus and/or Microsoft Essentials before Activating. For detailed instructions please Click Here!

Where do I find my WinCleaner Product Serial Key?

If you purchased a Retail Boxed product, your Serial Key is on the instruction sheet in the box. If you purchased a USB Key product, the Serial Key will be on the inside of the packaging card material in the plastic shell.

If the Serial Key still cannot be found, please contact Customer Support with your proof of purchase.

What can be done if I have lost my Serial Key?

If you have WinCleaner installed on another PC, launch it and then click the About button at the bottom of the Main Screen. Your Serial Key will be shown on the About Window.

If you do not have WinCleaner on any other computer and it was purchased online from our Website or if it has already been activated once, click the 'Forgot My Serial Key' option on the left to have your Serial Key sent to your email address. To inquire about a Serial Key replacement, please Contact Support. Some conditions may apply.

Can I use my WinCleaner product after my suscription has expired?

Your WinCleaner product will not function after it expires and will need to be Renewed. We recommend that you Renew Your Service to continue to get all the benefits of your product.

How long should WinCleaner OneClick take to scan my computer?

The amount of time WinCleaner OneClick takes to complete a scan will vary from computer to computer. The scan time is based on the number of files and file types, the amount of accumulated clutter, the speed of the PC and the speed of the hard drive. The scan process can also be slowed down by Anti-Virus software. It is best to turn off any Anti-Virus software while using WinCleaner to get the best performance.

Why doesn't the Registry Cleaner remove all Invalid Items?

Some of the invalid registry items are contained in branches like a tree. Until the outer branch is removed, an error in an inner branch cannot be found. These invalid items can be removed by scanning the registry a few times.

If some registry items re-appear after multiple scans, they are either recreated immediately after they are deleted or they are blocked from deletion by some Windows apps. Unfortunately, some programs use the registry to store data in ways that were not intended, which is why they are being detected as invalid by WinCleaner. These items cannot be permanently removed. But, they will not affect your system and can safely be ignored.

Also, the problem is known to occur with security software such as Microsoft Essentials as they can block access to certain registry items. Please turn off the security software and then clean the registry to see if the remaining items are removed.

I plugged in my USB Key and nothing happend. Now what?

If nothing happens when you plug in your WinCleaner USB Key, please press and hold down the Windows Key on the keyboard and then press the letter 'E'. You should see the USB Key show up. Double click the Setup.exe file to install WinCleaner on your PC.

If there is a problem with your USB Key, please click the 'Re-download Software' option on the left and enter the details to get your WinCleaner by download.

Does the USB Key need to be plugged in to use WinCleaner?

The short answer is No. Once WinCleaner OneClick is installed from the USB Key onto your PC, it can be run anytime you need it by clicking its icon on the Windows Desktop. Please keep the USB Key as a backup in case you need to re-install WinCleaner at a later date.

Why has my PC slowed down after cleaning with WinCleaner?

Sometimes after a scan and cleanup by WinCleaner OneClick, the anti-virus on the PC may start scanning the whole PC as it will have detected many changes. This will slow down your PC's speed. The speed may also slow down if there is a Microsoft Windows Update happening in the background. Please wait for some time and the speed should be restored.

Why is the WinCleaner scanning frozen or very slow?

The anti-virus on your PC can block or slow down WinCleaner OneClick. Therefore, please stop WinCleaner and disable your Anti-Virus. Then run WinCleaner again to see if the scanning finishes faster.
